Nunsmere Hall is a haven of peace and quiet and is the epitome of an English country house. Nunsmere Hall lies in a unique rural setting, surrounded by a 60 acre lake, yet only 12 miles from Chester The 28 bedrooms and 8 suites, with most having spectacular views over the lakes and gardens, are each beautifully appointed and individually designed. Most have antique furnishings, Persian rugs and lots of extra touches to give our guests that home from home feeling. Most of our junior suites have Jacuzzis and televisions in the bathrooms. The wood paneled cocktail bar and luxurious lounges open onto the terrace which overlooks the Italian sunken garden. Nunsmere Hall is also renowned for its cuisine in the award winning Crystal Restaurant. You can dine alfresco throughout the summer months on our beautiful terrace. Children are welcome however those under the age of 12 are not permitted in the restaurant after 7.00pm. We can arrange room service or an early meal in the restaurant. We strongly recommend making advanced dinner reservations in order to avoid disappointment. We have three beautifully equipped private rooms which are ideal for business meetings, conferences and training courses, private dining as well as wedding ceremonies and receptions. A range of activities can be arranged such as clay pigeon and laser shooting, archery, golf, hot air ballooning and off-road racing nearby. Helicopters are welcome to land providing prior notice is given.

By Rail Hartford railway station is just 5 miles away with direct trains running to and from Euston Station, London. In elegant and intimate surroundings, you can choose from a sumptuous a la carte or very reasonable prix fixe menu. Fresh, local ingredients are sought out by our chefs and they make sure they are organic whenever possible. Everything is made fresh at Nunsmere, even the bread. Good service is a hallmark of Nunsmere and you will find it perfect, attentive without being intrusive. All dietary requirements can be catered for. Please let us know in advance and we will create a delicious menu to suit you. There is an extensive list of some of the worlds finest wines to choose from. In addition, you will find our stylish cocktail bar, the Captains Bar, ideal for an aperitif or after-dinner digestif. The Captains Bar is named after the original owner of Nunsmere Hall, Sir Aubrey Brocklebank, and the decor reflects his maritime past. The bar has been stocked with drinks sourced from the finest producers based all over the world. Here, for example, you can sample superb drinks such as a French biere blonde fermented with Champagne yeast, Hendricks handcrafted gin served with sliced cucumber, an exceptional vodka from Kazakhstan, and Irelands most exclusive whiskey. This passion for quality extends even to the choice of tea or coffee available. We have created our own blends and also offer rare varieties such as Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and Chinese Rose Petal and First Flush Darjeeling teas.
