A good value for money hotel that is within walking distance to the heart of Singapore's historical district. Expect a simple and clean environment for a comfortable stay. sg 11/07.
The 8-storey building is grey and white; exterior is modern. There is a little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating at the entrance. The hotel opens out onto Bencoolen Street.
Rooms are tastefully done in light colors with light colored bedding. Large windows allow in plenty of sunlight. The bathroom has white tiles, simple but functional. Bath and shower are standard in all rooms. Rooms are equipped with coffee/tea making facilities. Triple are twin or double room with a roll-away bed.
There is one outlet on the ground floor. It is a Thai restaurant with indoor air-conditioned seating or outdoor alfresco.
The lobby is small with wooden paneling and a small reception as you walk in.
Located along Bencoolen Street and just off the civic district of Singapore, the hotel is close to Bras Basah Rd where the Art Museum, National Museum, Asian Civilizations Museum and National Library are located. It is within a 7 minute walk to the transit station at Bugis. Orchard is within 10 minutes by car or train. Hotels in the immediate vicinity include City Bayview, Rendezvous, Allson, Oxford and Carlton.
